The Mutation Relay
Lucky thirteen!
This just in, Mutation Relay’s sophisticated evolution algorithm has deduced the pinnacle of natural selection in only thirteen stages! Garfo Sapien.
Seriously though, it’s great to see people watching this blog even though it doesn’t exactly update like clockwork. We’ll start up with a new beginner beast soon enough. I recommend going back and viewing this creature’s rise from lowly mucksucker to biological perfection.

The dozenth descendant.
Large brain, opposable thumbs, upright gait. This fella’s really evolving!
Sorry I think I could have drawn this better!!

Whoops the wait is over! Creature #11 is big, bulky, and getting furrier.

Mutation the Tenth.
Giant tree sloth + creature from the black lagoon.
You’d think that going to visit Andy would help me remember to update this blog that we run together, but we spent all night playing Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards.

Creature #9
Still a hunter, thou going with size over speed. Looks like it gets around by ‘lumbering’ but may be more adept at swimming? That grasping lip just gets scarier and scarier!

Eighth one!
Our little armoured scavenger is in the big leagues now! The plates have receded, allowing more flexibility. It’s 5-prong tail has a powerful muscular base. It’s sagittal crest has grown forward to add to the heads overall lethality. Yep, it’s a predator now.
I can imagine it’s superlip reaching out (still reminds me of a goblin shark), grasping it’s prey, and then the tusks, beak, and/or teeth skewer it.

And on the seventh mutation, the lord rested (I mean, missed a day because of internet shenanigans)
It’s lips are even more prehensile now. I imagine they move like the tip of an elephant’s trunk. The tail is large & sweeping, like a peacock.
See you next week!

The sixth xeno!
It’s fused “triplelips” can snap forward (reminds me of a goblin shark), while the tusks are for rooting around. The plates on the back have become completely exodermal & overlapping. Lastly, the tail’s “appendage” is now an articulate, wing-like flag.

The fifth form!
The fur from the lower jaw has spread to the rest of the body, but that’s the least of the changes! It’s back spines & tail continue to weaponize. It’s mouth has gone the way of the anteater, and it’s finally got toes! This is a pretty weird one Andy. Good job.

The fourth fauna!
Looks like its hide was really toughened up. Its tail has gotten pretty fearsome! Possibly for defence, possibly for digging. It looks more like a paw than a tail. Except for the spikes I think it has a ‘cuttlefish/wildebeest’ vibe. And it’s finally got those feet turned forward. Good for it!
That’s one month of Mutation Relay, so rock, rock on! Unfortunately this milestone coincides with Andy moving, so there might not be a creature on time next week. We’ll see.
As always, Likes, Reblogs, and Follows are much loved. :D
